1. POLICY UNITS & LEGISLATION
This unit is divided into two scopes:
LEGISLATION
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions to MdI on insolvency law
- Enact primary and subsidiary legislation related to insolvency in line with government policy
- Review contracts and legal agreements signed by MdI
POLICY
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions to MdI on policy development and implementation related to insolvency matters
- Plan and coordinate MdI Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020
- Coordinating the reports of legal officers in MdI to the Attorney General’s Office
- Coordinating reports to the Minister’s office
2. COMPLIANCE UNIT
- Monitor branch progress based on quarterly performance
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and policies that have been set regarding insolvency law
- Present audit findings to the Director General of Insolvency
